Sit/Lie Ordinance Debate Starting
You’re going to start hearing more debate about “Sit/Lie” over the next few months. Basically it would make sitting or lieing on the ground in San Francisco against the law. The law would help get homeless and drug addicts off the street.

Potrero Hill Projects – Why Are They Painting Them?
I was driving through the projects the other day and wondered why they were painting them if they are scheduled to be demolished. Knowing that it will be several years before we can begin demolition of even a first phase of construction – this year for environmental evaluation and planning department review, 2011 for design of infrastructure (streets, utilities) and the beginnings of a first phase of buildings, it will be at least 2012 before any relocation occurs – the Housing Authority is trying to be responsive to the needs of their residents by improving the condition of the buildings.

Potrero Hill Cheat Sheet
I’ve lived here for so long and very often people ask me where such and such a street is with a state name and I get the deer in the headlight look. I should know, but I forget. However, I have found if you start to think about what is on one of the streets instead of try to figure out some order in your head related to the states themselves, then it becomes a lot easier.
