Kevin's Bio

About Kevin

With Alain Pinel Realtors, Kevin Koss is the leader in all innovative marketing techniques related to client properties.Kevin helps individuals, couples and families buy and sell real estate.

Kevin has always had a close connection with land. Raised on a dairy farm in north central Wisconsin , Kevin’s father used to say that his connection with land would govern and shape his life and future career paths. And it did early on. In addition to work on the farm, as a teen Kevin built houses with his brother-in-law, a local general contractor.

Seeking broader experience in high school, Kevin started working in a local restaurant owned by friends of the family. By understanding how food is grown and then prepared to serve, the experience fueled his passion for food. Shortly thereafter, he was accepted at the prestigious Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York . Upon graduation he went to work in nationally recognized restaurants across the country. Starting as a private chef for the Forbes family on their ranch in Colorado, and later at restaurants in New Orleans, Santa Fe, Seattle, Boston and finally in 1998, San Francisco --the city he proudly refers to as home.

Real Estate

After years of working a schedule opposite that of his partner Erik, a software executive, Kevin decided it was time for a change. Taking stock in his other interests -- Architecture and Design among them, a new career in real estate beckoned. While taking classes and studying for the Real Estate License exam.Kevin began his career at Pacific Union and then moved to Alain Pinel in June of 2007.

Kevin started his career in real estate managing files working with buyers and sellers on the details of their transactions. Learning the “nuts and bolts’’ of this process has given him a broad understanding of real estate transactions. Because each transaction is different, knowing how to navigate potential pitfalls is one of the most important lessons learned in bringing buyers and sellers together.
